Dear Delta Theta Alumni,
The Spring '04 semester has been good to the
Delta Theta chapter of Beta Theta Pi. After the
improvements to the house over the summer and fall,
the house looks the best it has looked in the four
years that I have been here. We have a new rush
committee that is dedicated to recruiting the high
quality young men that Beta is known for.
Rush is the lifeline of any fraternity, and the
Delta Theta chapter is no different. Through the
fall pledges and some of the alumni, the committee
has already gathered over 100 names of seniors in
high school. The rush committee would love any names
that alumni members would like to have rushed.
If you haven’t already heard, we are starting the
Delta Theta 2003-2007 Capital Campaign to raise
money for a renovation of the house that will
coincide with the renovation of Bryant-Denny
Stadium. We want to add additional rooms and
renovate the front elevation to look like a
traditional Greek house (with columns). We do not
want to take a debt on this, and we are going to
have to raise at least $500,000. Our goal is for at
least 250 alumni willing to contribute at least $350
annually for the next five years. All donations are
tax deductible, by making the checks out to the
University of Alabama and note that this is for the
Beta Theta Pi house fund. Some have already made
contributions, and we thank you for this.
We thank you for your continued support. If you have
any questions, please contact the president, David
Bussman or myself.
Yours in –Kai-,
The brothers of the Delta Theta chapter
