Thanks to our supportive alumni, the Delta Theta Chapter of Beta Theta Pi will be hosting our first Alumni Golf Event. The Event will take place on Friday, November 17th, the day before the Auburn vs. Alabama game in Tuscaloosa. Below you can view all the details about this exciting event.

All alumni are welcome to participate in this event. There is a limited amount of space for the golf outing so we would encourage you to sign up as early as possible. The first 30 groups of four to sign up and send in their minimum contribution will have priority to participate (we are working with the golf course on being able to expand this to 38 groups of four).

If you would like to participate in the tournament, please view the current list of team captains and contact the captain of your pledge class to reserve a spot on your team. Or if you would like to form a group of your own, please do so and contact the event committee via email.

Because of the need to secure the golf course and determine our final budget, as well as allow alumni plenty of time to make arrangements for the weekend ( travel, lodging, game tickets, etc. ) we need to work under the following deadlines:

First 120 alumni who have mailed in their contribution will secure their golf spot. After that we will work on completing additional teams. Any Alumni who is not able participate in the golf event is still encouraged to come out to the location of the golf tournament on Friday, to the Chapter House on Saturday and to make a contribution of their choice to the Beta House Corporation.

To build a large ACTIVE Alumni group for the Delta Theta Chapter of Beta Theta Pi that will have a specific purpose and goal each year for supporting the Active Chapter.


The weekend of the Auburn vs. Alabama game in Tuscaloosa. This year that will be Friday, November 17th, 2000 and Saturday, November 18th, 2000.


To raise a specified amount of money for the active chapter, over and beyond any other current or future fund raising events for the active chapter, as well as fully funding the social activities provided for alumni, family and guest on the day of the game.

Proposed Budget:

Each participant in the alumni golf outing will contribute a minimum of $150 to the Beta House Corporation.

The Beta House Corporation will fund the golf outing and help with expenses at the Chapter House for food and other game day requirements

120 alumni x $150 minimum contribution = $18,000

Approx. $60 per person will be the cost for the golf event. This cost covers green fees, box lunch, and organization of the golf facilities for the event. ( 30 teams x 4 alumni x $60 = $7,200)

Approx. $15 per person will be used to fund the game day social as well as any other expenses incurred by alumni on this specific weekend. (approx. $1,500 to $2,000 for food and beverage for 200+ alumni )

Approx. $ 8,500 - $10,000 (based on contributions above $150) will be designated for the active chapter through the Beta House Corporation for rush or other approved expenses.
